We’ve teamed up to bring you the best in fitness programming, nutrition and activities for a one-week retreat. You can choose from a palette of activities: take Yoga, Meditation, Mat Pilates, Acroyoga, Aerial Yoga or Aerial Pilates. Enjoy delicious organic cuisine prepared by our chef, or just relax with stunning views of the surrounding Adriatic Sea. There are many more activities, like day trips, wine tastings, kayaking, windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, snorkeling, cycling or just lounging along the coastline, that will introduce you to this gorgeous destination.

Surrounded by secluded inlets laced with limestone cliffs and framed by turquoise blue water, Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast enchants with its rich history, rugged islands and hidden coves. Venture into the lush hills of the Peljesac Peninsula and azure waters while enjoying a range of activities from group exercise classes to energizing treks. Day trips and wine tastings are also available: Explore the famed Walls of Ston, dated back to the 14th and 15th centuries and known as the “European Great Wall of China” and follow it with a wine tasting; take a boat trip to the island of Mljet, where Odysseus found his paradise, or take the ‘Game of Thrones’ walking tour of Dubrovnik. There is much to be experienced in this breathtaking region.

Stay in luxurious historic stone houses, lovingly restored, and refurbished with an herbal sauna and pool, all within walking distance from the beach. Everyday you can push your limits or simply enjoy the beauty of the Adriatic. This retreat is meant to help you reconnect mind, body and soul in an environment full of life and energy.

The Experience

This is a tentative schedule as things can shift and change due to availability, however all of these events will be included in the retreat and you may participate as much as you like. Please note that cultural activities are optional and are simply available for your enjoyment.
Sample Itinerary:
7:00-8:30 Meditation & morning yoga (Hatha or Acroyoga or Aerial)
8:30-9:30 Breakfast
9:30-10:30 Pilates (Mat or Aerial)
10:30-12:30 Free time (take advantage of one of our private tutorial offers or just relax and enjoy the herbal sauna, pool or beach!)
12:30-1:30 Lunch
1:30-4:30 Free time (enjoy a guided tour or day trip or indulge in one of many optional activities including hiking, biking, snorkeling, diving, rafting, windsurfing, kite surfing, horseback riding and much more)
4:30-5:30 Yoga (Hatha or Acroyoga or Aerial)
5:30-6:30 Pilates (Mat or Aerial)
6:30-7:00 Sunset meditation on the beach
7:00-8:30 Dinner

*Couples may request private accommodation. Solo participants will share spacious rooms in old stone authentic Dalmatian houses. There are two outside and two inside terraces, an herbal sauna and two swimming pools.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I don’t have any experience in Yoga or Pilates. Is this retreat for me?
You don’t need any prior experience in either Yoga or Pilates to come. Some of the moves might be challenging, like any new and unfamiliar physical activity. You’ll feel your strength and flexibility increase as well as your own body awareness while developing good postural habits.

Do you provide yoga mats?
Yes, but if you prefer you can bring your own. There will also be yoga blocks, bolsters and straps, as well as yoga swings, from which we can do Aerial Pilates and Aerial Yoga.

I have food allergies / special requirements, what should I do?
Fill out the info request form where you’ll be able to indicate all your food requirements, etc.

Josephine Dorado is a Pilates instructor, professor, performing artist and entrepreneur. With certifications and experience in Pilates, Prenatal Pilates, Aerial Pilates and TRX suspension training, she strives to provide a challenging and fluid workout with a holistic, well-rounded approach. She applies her varied skills acquired through Pilates, dance, martial arts and aerial training to enhance the embodied experience. Josephine is also the President of Fulbright’s New York Chapter and a media studies professor at The New School, specializing in virtual learning experiences and collaborative online performance. Her work has been awarded both a Fulbright Scholarship and a MacArthur Foundation Award in Digital Media & Learning. Previously, Josephine founded Kidz Connect, a virtual cultural exchange program that connects youth internationally through creative collaboration and theatrical performance in virtual worlds. She balances her work in media and online spaces with her passion for healthy lifestyle and fitness, combining a technology-infused life with a physical, embodied way of being. BluNathan_yellow_sittingtreeNathan is a Yoga teacher certified in Pranala Yoga in Bali, Indonesia. Pranala Yoga is an ancient form of healing, that moves the energies into the subtle body, through the various methods of Yoga. He has experience teaching Acroyoga and Hatha Yoga, including specific concentrations in Chakra Flow, Core Flow and Inversions. His favorite kind of Yoga combines two opposite styles, which is a very slow and restorative flow, mixed with the most intricate asanas. Addicted to inversions & balance, his own pleasure is to lead students, with the proper techniques, to the mastery of their own body, mind & soul, beyond their expectations. Coming from a strong 10-year gym training background, he also aims to help anyone of any age or physical condition, to restore their initial flexibility & comfort into their body, by integrating Yoga practices into their routines. An active writer for the San Francisco-based gay lifestyle magazine Kraven, Nathan inspires readers to re-connect with their source. In 2011, he created the Ethereal Blog in order to guide people to comprehend & integrate spirituality in all aspects of their everyday life.
